COCONUT OIL


Coconut Oil Also called coconut butter, it is a tropical oil obtained from copra (dried coconut) that has several applications. Coconut oil is a stable product, slow to oxidize because of its elevated saturated fat content.

Among the different types of coconut oils, fractionated is perhaps the best for massage purposes. Named fractionated coconut oil because it contains only a fraction of the whole oil, it is a light, non-greasy, liquid oil.

Fractionated coconut oil is less expensive than other oils, comparable in cost to sweet almond oil. But the top characteristic of the oil is that it doesn’t tend to stain sheets, a common problem with the majority of massage oils. Furthermore, specialists recommend employ coconut oil in the treatment of fungal infections.
