Chiropractic It is a complementary health therapy that involves diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and their effects on the functions of the nervous system and general health.

Chiropractors employ manual therapy including spinal adjustment and soft-tissue manipulation. The chiropractic theory considers that a vertebral subluxation or spinal joint dysfunction obstruct the mechanical functions and may cause a series of conditions. The technique studies the relation between structure and function and its impact on neurological mechanisms and may include also exercises and lifestyle counseling.

Each treatment is designed according the customized needs of the patient. However, the efficiency of chiropractic therapy has not been rigorously verified by medical community. The method is safe when is applied skillfully and properly.

Chiropractic was created in 1895 by American D. Palmer and today is practiced in the entire world. There are two principal forms: "straights" and "mixers" styles.
